Providing advice and support

How we work

With Teacup
  • We don’t believe in a one-size fits all approach to nutrition; therefore, we tailor a solution to suit you.

You can feel confident with the service we provide, being Registered Dietitians means that we’re legally bound to provide accurate nutrition advice. We interpret the plethora of nutrition science and customise it to your individual needs using our 3 step process.

  • Our process

    1. 1.

We start with your initial nutrition assessment where we undertake a comprehensive assessment.

    2. 2.

After your assessment, we analyze your results to determine what’s going to work best for you.

    3. 3.

Your Dietitian will advise whether a review appointment or program is most appropriate for you. This is where we provide you with all the education and support that you require to help you achieve your dietary goals and yes, that includes a meal plan.

    • What’s included in a detailed medical nutrition assessment?

This is where we assess your weight history (anthropometry), recent blood test results and determine need for additional testing (if required), you and your partner’s fertility, medical history & family history. We conduct a thorough gut health assessment, cycle health (if appropriate), supplement and medication use, exercise, and lifestyle (sleep, stress, and work) as well as a thorough diet history, including your likes and dislikes. This is how we determine your individual nutrition requirements. We pride ourselves on the comprehensiveness of our assessments to ensure we have a clear picture of your holistic wellbeing.

  • The Four Nutrition Stages of fertility:

Harvard School of Public Health has found that making five or more diet and lifestyle changes can improve fertility by 69%. Beyond fertility, good nutrition during the first 1000 days (which starts 3 months prior to conception), plays a foundational role in enabling a child to grow, learn and thrive. It starts with the egg and sperm, which contain the genetic material needing to make a baby and good nutrition during this time helps to protect this delicate genetic material.

Damage to the DNA in our eggs and sperm interferes with our ability to get pregnant, miscarriage risk and health outcomes of your offspring. We understand that you want to do all that you can to optimise your fertility and chance of having a healthy baby, but also that it’s a very confusing area of nutrition. So we developed The Fertility Nutrition Framework to give you give you the best chance of getting pregnant and having a healthy baby.
